SENuke X Review And Case Study Plan

Many of you know that I was in Asia this week on business travel. Of course, this was the week of the big SENuke re-launch (now improved and called SENuke X).

After many years of wondering about SENuke, I finally decided to take the plunge and subscribed to SENuke X last week. You probably know that SENuke X is the follow-on product to the popular SENuke software and that it is a collection of tools for automating website promotion (primarily through backlinking).

I’ve decided that I would like to try and consolidate most (but not all) of my automated link-building inside this tool. I’ve also decided that it would make a cool ongoing review and case study.

Note that since I am doing the work to do the review, I have decided to use affiliate links in these review posts. If you decide to buy through my link, I will get a commission. So, this is my first of what I hope will be several posts about my SENuke X experience. I have the previously un-promoted (not sure this is a real word) Learn Guitar Basics site available from the old Niche Site Duel, and I plan to use that as my case study initially.

Without any promotion to speak of, the learn guitar basics site is ranking 25th in Google this morning. It bounces around between page one (occasionally) and nowhere. The question is can I use SENuke X to systematically improve the rankings of the site for the main keyword “learn guitar basics”.

Why Try SENuke X?

Well, to be honest with you, I have always wanted to try it but never have. In fact, a couple of years ago I even got a trial account. The account expired before I found time to figure out how to use the tool.

When I looked at SENuke years ago, the software seemed like a loosely connected collection of stuff that was hard to use. I am not sure that was a fair assessment then, but I do remember feeling like I just did not have time to figure SENuke out.

Now in the current version, the authors have really focused on usability. There are new tools and tons of training videos with the package. I love the idea of having one tool that I could use for the majority of my site promotion tasks.

What pushed me over the edge was a very rare endorsement from someone I respect, Jon Leger. Jon is a software guy, and I trust him. He promotes very few products. Yet, in his promotion for SENuke X, Jon wrote that he was personally impressed with the software. That was good enough for me to give it a try.

What is SENuke X Exactly?

Well, the sales page is pretty good at explaining what SENuke does. Additionally, here is a decent SENuke X video with a little sales hype (but not too much).

Let me try to explain it here in a nutshell.

SENuke X automates the creation of backlinks to your site by leveraging Article Directories, Social Bookmarking, Forums, Pinging, RSS Feeds, Press Releases, and Web 2.0 Profiles. It supports dripping and scheduling (so you don’t build links too quickly), captcha busting, and spinning (to help avoid duplicate content).

It does all of this in an integrated system that allows you to coordinate your link building attack. It also has an indexing facility that helps you make sure that the content containing your backlinks is actually indexed by Google. More on this feature in future posts (I think this is going to prove to be really important).

SE Nuke Training Videos

So, that is enough for now. At the moment, I am on a airplane from Taiwan to San Francisco. I downloaded all of the SENuke Training videos to my laptop and I plan to watch them in flight. This way, when I get back to Dallas, I ‘ll be ready to start using the software.
