Facebook Marketplace Drop Shipping Success Story Break Down — My $863 Day. The exact steps I took to generate $863 on Facebook Marketplace last Tuesday with Drop Shipping.

We had a big day on Tuesday. We sold $863 worth of products on Facebook Marketplace with a profit of $382 — which is awesome! This is what we did…
Disclaimer: Just because I got a certain result, doesn’t mean that you’ll get the same result.
We identified items on eBay that we could mark up and sell for a profit on Facebook Marketplace. Very simply, we looked at eBay for items that we thought would sell, particularly during this time of year and we marked it up between 30% – 40%.
We took the description from eBay and edited it for Facebook Marketplace. We took the images from eBay and used those as well to post 10 or 20 items a day. This process is like throwing spaghetti against the wall. The ones that stick are your winning products.
The really great thing about Facebook Marketplace that’s different than any kind of advertising I’ve ever done before is that it doesn’t cost you anything to post a listing. Right now, they just take 5% off the sale price if you sell something.
How did we select these products?
We used a plugin called eBay Popularity Sort for Google Chrome to immediately show us the things that were already selling on eBay. This told us that these products were viable in the marketplace, at least at the price that they were selling on eBay.
When we saw that the product had good reviews (four stars or more) and the supplier had favorable feedback rating (97% or more), then we knew we were dealing with a good supplier and a good product.
We had started this earlier in February and had that first sale came in on February 28th. So far, we have made 51 sales. We didn’t really have much activity in the store but on March 15th, my phone started blowing up. On that day, we had $863 worth of sales and that came in the form of about 25 sales on eight different items.
That’s exactly how we did it: we found popular products on eBay using a plugin called eBay Popularity Sort. We listed those products for sale on Facebook Marketplace with a 40% markup. We sold those products and we shipped those products to customers through eBay that very same night, and we kept about 30% of the money.
There are a lot of details that are handled in Tom’s Facebook Marketplace Drop Shipping course about how to optimize these listings so that they convert, what kinds of products to list, where to source them, what software to use if you want to semi-automate the listing and fulfillment process. We’re using some of that software.
Personally, I don’t think that this is going to last forever. Facebook Marketplace is brand new, there is no automation, there are some scripting Chrome plugins that talk to it but there’s no real serious drop shipping software like there is with eBay and Amazon, so the big boys are not playing in this space yet.
I hope this has gotten you excited about everything that is possible. I think it does show that if you find somebody who knows what they’re doing and you follow their instructions exactly, don’t quit too soon and follow-through, you can have success doing all kinds of different things.
