Best Internet Marketing Blogs to Follow (2026)

I first published a list of internet marketing blogs back in 2012, ranked by RSS subscriber count. That list included names like John Chow (210,776 subscribers), ProBlogger (164,000), and Yaro Starak's Entrepreneurs Journey (110,059). RSS counts were the vanity metric of the era, and most of those blogs are either gone, dormant, or have reinvented themselves completely.

The internet marketing blog landscape in 2026 looks very different. The best blogs today combine deep expertise with actionable advice, back up their claims with data, and focus on strategies that actually work rather than hype. Here is my updated, curated list of the best internet marketing blogs worth your time.

Best Overall Internet Marketing Blogs

Smart Passive Income

Founded by Pat Flynn — Pat was on my original list with about 39,000 subscribers. He has since built one of the most trusted brands in online business education. SPI covers affiliate marketing, course creation, podcasting, and building online businesses with transparency and integrity. Pat publicly shares his income reports and business experiments. If you follow one blog on this list, make it this one.

Niche Pursuits

Founded by Spencer Haws — The best blog for niche site builders and affiliate marketers. Spencer documents real projects with real numbers, covering everything from keyword research to site building to selling websites. The podcast is equally excellent. If you are building niche content sites, this is essential reading.

Authority Hacker

Founded by Gael Breton and Mark Webster — Data-driven content about building authority websites and scaling affiliate income. Their case studies and experiments are among the most rigorous in the industry. The Authority Hacker podcast is one of the best in the space for actionable, tested strategies.

Late Night Internet Marketing

That is me. I have been writing about internet marketing since 2008 and podcasting since 2009. My focus is helping part-time entrepreneurs build internet businesses one night at a time. If the fact that I included myself on this list bothers you, fair enough, but I genuinely believe the content is worth your time.

Best SEO Blogs

Ahrefs Blog

Consistently produces the most data-backed SEO content on the internet. Their studies analyzing millions of search results provide insights you cannot get anywhere else. The writing is clear, the advice is actionable, and they are refreshingly honest about what works and what does not. Even if you do not use Ahrefs as a tool, their blog is must-read material.

Backlinko

Founded by Brian Dean — Brian pioneered the skyscraper technique for link building and continues to produce exceptionally well-researched guides on SEO, content marketing, and YouTube optimization. His posts are long, detailed, and packed with original data. Quality over quantity — he publishes less frequently but every post is worth reading.

Moz Blog

One of the oldest and most respected SEO blogs. The Whiteboard Friday video series remains a fantastic way to learn SEO concepts. Moz covers technical SEO, local SEO, and industry news with depth and nuance. Their Beginner's Guide to SEO is still one of the best free resources for learning search optimization from scratch.

The blog is organized into marketing, sales, and service hubs, making it easy to find content relevant to your specific needs.

Copyblogger

Founded by Brian Clark — Brian was on my original 2012 list, and Copyblogger remains the definitive resource for content marketing and copywriting. If you want to learn how to write content that converts, start here. Their focus on the craft of writing separates them from the more technical SEO blogs.

CMI publishes annual research reports on the state of content marketing that are required reading for anyone in the field. Their blog covers everything from content strategy to distribution to measurement.

Best Blogs for Online Business Strategy

His guides are beginner-friendly and comprehensive. The NP Digital blog and YouTube channel together provide a solid marketing education at no cost.

Side Hustle Nation

Founded by Nick Loper — Covers a wide range of side business opportunities with a practical, approachable style. The accompanying podcast features interviews with people who have built successful side businesses across diverse models.

Matt Giovanisci

A refreshingly honest blog about the realities of running internet businesses. Matt documents his actual revenue numbers and experiments across multiple niche sites. His writing style is candid and entertaining, and he is transparent about what fails as well as what succeeds.

How to Actually Follow These Blogs

RSS is no longer the dominant way to follow blogs, though it still works well through readers like Feedly or Inoreader. Most of these blogs also publish newsletters, which is the easiest way to stay current. Subscribe to the email lists of your top three or four picks and unsubscribe from anything that does not deliver value consistently.

Do not try to read everything from every blog on this list. Pick the ones most relevant to where you are in your journey and go deep on those. You can always expand your reading list as your business grows and your needs change.

The internet marketing world moves fast. The blogs that survive and thrive are the ones that combine genuine expertise with honest, actionable advice. Every blog on this list meets that standard.
