One of the most common reasons people give up on their goals is that they hit a wall and could not figure out how to get past it. They sat there frustrated for days or weeks, and eventually the frustration turned into discouragement, and the discouragement turned into quitting.
I have been there. More times than I want to admit.
The Stubborn Solo Approach
When I first started building my online business, I had this stubborn belief that I needed to figure everything out on my own. If I could not solve a technical problem or crack a marketing challenge by myself, I felt like I was somehow failing. So I would spend hours, sometimes entire weekends, banging my head against problems that someone else could have helped me solve in ten minutes.
That is a terrible use of your limited time, especially if you are building a business on the side after your day job.
Why Asking for Help Works
No matter what you are working on, there is almost certainly someone who understands that particular piece better than you do. Maybe they have been through it before. Maybe they approach problems from a different angle. Maybe they just have more experience in that specific area.
The point is, asking for help is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign that you value your time and your goals enough to find the fastest path forward.
How to Actually Get Help
In 2026, finding help has never been easier. Join a community in your niche, whether that is a Facebook group, a Discord server, a subreddit, or a paid mastermind. Post specific questions with context about what you have already tried. Most people are happy to help when they can see you have put in genuine effort first.
You can also find a mentor or accountability partner. Even an informal arrangement where you check in with someone weekly can be the difference between staying stuck for a month and solving a problem in a day.
The Bottom Line
If you have been stuck on the same problem for more than a few days, stop grinding and start asking. Your ego might resist it, but your business will thank you for it.
