The LOST New Year's Eve 2020 Episode.  How it got lost and what that means for listeners.  Building boundaries to protect your side hustle from the other important things in your life.

Show Notes

This is the promised New Year's Eve episode, recorded almost two weeks later. What was the reason for the delay? Well, we were addressing a customer-related issue in my day job and had taken away a learning lesson from it.

What I learned is all about setting boundaries.

Prior to the pandemic, most of us had a physical hard stop from work. We went home and people recognize that the day was over. But now, for those of us who are working from home, these lines may have gotten a bit blurred. The demands of our day jobs have pushed those boundaries back into dinner time and our side hustle time.

If you are a side hustler, you have to set boundaries.

They said that you've got to pay yourself first when you get a paycheck. When we switch this into a time analogy: you get 24 hours every day and if your side hustle is important to you, when you get paid for those precious 24 hours, the first thing you should do is allocate time to your side hustle. You can use tools, like your calendar, or ask for help from your family.

Set those boundaries. Protect it.
