This week's tip is one that I personally think is really important. You really to find and follow a single mentor. Not 42 mentors, not an entire Google reader full of RSS feeds, I’m talking about a mentor. If you’re working part time you’ve only got time to listen to one or maybe two voices.

I consider Sterling and Jay one voice, so you count them as one. That’s all you have time for, so you need to find a single mentor that does the kind of business model that you want to do. That is also very important.

Don’t go follow Yaro Starak or Darren Rowse if you don’t want to be a blogger. If you want to be a pay per click millionaire, Yaro and Darren are not the key people to follow. Find someone that is focused on the business model you want and who is willing to share some of their business model either publically or through a coaching program that they offer.

So, you need to follow someone who is doing what you want to do. But, then follow them essentially exclusively. Now, I don’t really mean strictly exclusively, but pay the most attention to them and try to ignore noise from other marketers that are pounding your inbox with offers.

This has been another post in our Part-Time Internet Business Series at MasonWorld.com, where we build successful internet businesses one night at a time.
