How is everyone this morning? Yes, morning, it’s Late Night Internet Marketing in the morning, very confusing for me. It’s 4:00-something in the morning and I just got off the phone with Andrew Hansen, a personal friend of mine. He’s the Aussie marketer I’ve had on the show a couple times before.
He’s totally awesome. I’ve known him since 2007 when I got started. His breakthrough product that a lot of people have heard about years ago was Niche Marketing on Crack when he was a young guy. That’s a terrible name now. It sounds terrible, but at the time that was breakthrough stuff. He was talking about how you could make money with affiliate marketing and it’s one of the ways I got started.
Andrew and I have been friends and I’ve followed him around the world. He lives a location independent life, which is really cool. He’s from Australia, he currently lives in London. He spent some time in Thailand recently, putting together this course. He talks about it a little bit on the call that we’re going to have here in a minute. He says he took some time in Thailand to just chill out and create a course to answer some of these objections and questions and concerns about all the changes in Google.
He does have a course coming out in February and I’ll be talking about that and promoting it because I like Andrew’s stuff. For today, I just wanted to have Andrew on to address this issue of whether or not you can still make money on affiliate marketing. You’re hearing all kinds of people talking about how SEO is dead and you can’t get traffic anymore. What you’re going to hear Andrew say, the word he uses is rubbish, that’s rubbish.
He talks about examples not too different from the example that we talk about here with the corn sheller site where he’s doing this stuff and making a ton of money. The difference is, the examples he talks about instead of making $.11 a click like I’m making with the corn sheller site, he talks about some examples where he’s making $3, $4, $5, $6 a click on some affiliate sites that he’s built since October of 2012, since after all of these changes.
The reason I wanted Andrew on was because he has this point of view that you can still make money on affiliate marketing and I wanted you to hear that, but the second reason I wanted him on was because I’ve known him for years in an online sort of way, and I’ve used his stuff and I’ve talked to him and I consider him a personal friend.
