Autoresponder strategy can make or break your online business.  Do you have a game plan for how to manage your email subscribers and the content that you will provide them over the coming months and years?  How will you manage lead magnets?

Fundamentals Matter – If you do email marketing right, it is still an incredibly powerful tool for internet marketing in general. This is still how people primarily communicate and getting to know the basics or the fundamentals is the absolute key in mastering the technique.

Know Your Why – Once you lock the fundamentals down, you need to know why you are doing what you are doing. What are you trying to accomplish, what value are you trying to provide, what is your business model? Whatever your answers are, the bottom line is that it needs to do the one thing that all businesses must do: match offers with buyers.

What is your Offer – Know what your business if offering. The best offers that I see are those which help people. The best businesses are all about lifting people up and delivering value. Find these people who are in need of something or who has a certain pain point and match those them together with something which will make their lives better.

Enable Your Business Model – Your internet business infrastructure – whether this is a podcast, a blog, email marketing, a YouTube channel – is a tool that you can use to match offers with buyers. You can’t just rain down mindless offers though; your email marketing has to live at the intersection of Give Street and Take Street. This is what I call Lopsided Value. We need to be able to give massive value which will overtake the ‘taking’ part. And even when you take, the value of the ‘take’ should overwhelm the price paid for it. Give, give, give more than you take.

Autoresponder Strategy Episode Transcript

It’s been a little goofy with the timing on episode releases. I apologize for that. I appreciate very much all of the love in the Late Night Internet Marketing Facebook Group, everybody wanting to make sure if I’m okay. I’m fantastic.

I’ll tell you, when you get back from vacation, sometimes it’s a little bit hard to get started. This is something that my buddy Cliff and I have talked about. I don’t know, it’s not really post-vacation blues, but it’s just kind of that fire and spark and thing that gives you the drive that you need to work in the margins in your side business just seems to take awhile to get cranked back up sometimes when you get back from vacation. I know in my particular case, on top of that, when I take a weeklong vacation from my day job then my day job has a ton of stuff piled on top of it. On top of that, I had this big off-site management meeting this week at my day job.

Things have just been piling up, lots of craziness and laziness. I don’t want to make it sound like too much of sob story. Just a little bit of laziness on my part that has gotten me a little bit behind. But, I have the most fantastic strategy for catching up.
