Here comes Google Encrypted Search. Google is encrypting the search terms that people are using to reach your website. Is this all part of their evil plan, or are they snubbing the NSA? Either way, they are depriving you of some incredibly powerful information. In this episode we will talk about this issue and take some cool listener feedback as well.

Episode 062 Transcript
Today on the Late Night Internet Marketing Podcast we talk about integrity, we give a shout out to the San Diego Chargers (I lost a bet to Pat,) and we talk about Google encrypting their search results so you can’t tell what keywords people are using to find your site. It’s going to complicate your life. In addition to that, we handle some listener feedback. All this and more on the Late Night Internet Marketing Podcast….
Quick Shout Outs from Mark
Greetings from Dallas, Texas. I’m actually a little bit north of Dallas, Texas, but Dallas is the closest big thing around here. I hope you’re doing absolutely fantastic.
I have a couple shout outs I need to deal with here.
One of them is thanks to all of you who said, “Hey, where’s Mark? He’s not podcasting. Get it together and hand out another podcast.” I appreciate that, that’s actually very helpful. It is my intention for this to be a weekly podcast, which some of you who have heard me say that before are laughing a little bit. I know you’re laughing with me, not at me. I get that.
It gets to the gap between what you want to do and sometimes what you say you’re going to do and what you actually do. It’s kind of an integrity thing and it’s something that all people, I think, struggle with. You make these commitments to yourself and one of the key traits of successful people is they don’t break these commitments.
With regard to the podcast, I haven’t been doing such a good job of that. But there is the intent there to make this weekly. I am eventually going to work that out and we’ll look back and laugh about this at some point, “Remember when we used to struggle getting the show out every week? That doesn’t happen anymore.” We’re not quite there yet, although I am taking another run at it starting today. I hope you’re as happy to hear my voice as I am to be shooting my voice out at you.
The other shoutout – I hate this one, this just kills me. For those of you that follow me on Twitter, you know that I was talking smack to Pat Flynn, who lives in San Diego. There’s a small little known football team that plays in San Diego called the Chargers. Of course, my Dallas Cowboys were headed to San Diego to play the Chargers, I was quite sure that we were going to go in there and thump them. After all, Tony Romo at that point in the season was looking really fantastic, receiver core is pretty outstanding for the Cowboys when they’re healthy, the frontline which is supposed to be terrible this year is really looking pretty decent. So I’m thinking we’re going to go in there and hang 50 points on the Chargers and they are not going to be able to respond. Well, that’s not exactly how it worked out.
Congratulations to the Chargers, well done. Congratulations to Pat for winning the bet. Of course, the bet was a shout out on the podcast. Here you go, Pat. Go Chargers, YAY.
Enough football talk.
I have a couple topics for you today. I wanted to get to some listener feedback before we get into the meat of what we have to talk about today.
