My experience is that sometimes we can get so lost in the details of what we are trying to accomplish, we forget why we are doing it in the first place. Yet, the reason for moving forward is usually our best motivational tool.
Now, this might sound silly, but have you considered creating a personal slogan for your life and goals? What is that you want most? Do you want to travel the world? Do you want to become financially secure or independently wealthy? Do you want to attain a certain type of lifestyle for your family members?
All of these things can go into your personal slogan. Just think about what it is that you want to do; and then make it a slogan. Whenever you’re tired and dispirited, remind yourself of your slogan and what it means to you.
I’ve used a couple of slogans over the last three years. One, I “borrowed” from Nicole Dean – “Making the internet a better place.” Another I stole from someone (Could have been Bob The Teacher; I honestly cannot remember) – “Helping people profitably.” And of course, there is my tag line: Building Internet Businesses One Night at a Time.
For me, it’s been about doing something helpful.
What is it for you?
