I believe it is the best time for you to start or double down on your internet business — and I am doubling down on mine. I have a plan that I’ll be executing over the next 18 months and the main piece of that is delivering amazing, can’t-live-without-content that will help you and your internet business.
Why now is the very best time to start an internet business:
1. The Great Resignation – as a society, more and more people are changing what they’re doing. People have started to leave the jobs they were in prior to the pandemic, or to increase work, seek new employers, or generally do things they haven’t done before.
Now is a really great time to be working on your side hustle because there is a tremendous amount of opportunity, churn and change. And in times of change, that’s where you’re going to find the most opportunity.
2. There is a certain amount of uncertainty about what’s next. The economy is as strong as it is because the US government has pumped in a ton of money into the economy to keep things moving. But there is a side effect to that: inflation. Inflation is going to inevitably slow consumer spending and that’s going to have some negative impacts on the economy.
Even though we may continue to have a great economy for months or years to come, when there’s uncertainty, that makes the urgency of having a backup plan even higher. It makes more sense than ever to have a side hustle — that’s a backup plan for you and your family.
3. The shift to online has been massive. Everybody has increased the amount of time they’re spending online, increased the level of comfort they have with doing transactions online, and increased the amount of reliance they have on information that they find online.
