If you are like me, you've been thinking about participating in the Niche Site Duel 2.0 since Pat announced it. But like me, you may have been slow to start. Well, I am finally getting started, and today I reveal the first part of my strategy. I'm trying to hit the sweet spot between something amazing like the Food Truck empire that Pat is creating and something simple like the Corn Sheller site. We talk about my strategy, listener feedback, iTunes reviews, and a tool called Hit Tail. All this and more on the Late Night Internet Marketing Podcast.
Feedback From You!
In the feedback segment today, we talk about the importance of iTunes reviews to me and the show. I take a look at a review from one listener (Tommy from the Actors Talk Podcast) and discuss how is email capture strategy is a great example of something that you should be doing in your business.
Niche Site Duel 2.0
At last, I talk about the Niche Site Duel, and how I plan to combine my need to lose 50 pounds with my interest in technology and my desire to build a niche site. Niffty, huh? The idea is that I was outsource as much as possible and reveal everything to you. Should be fun — and we start TODAY.
Tech Tip: Hit Tail update
Some time ago, I reviewed a tool called HitTail. Two weeks ago, I talked about Google encrypting search terms. These two things interact, so I revisit my HitTail review in this episode.

Notes from Mark
I am on the road again in Houston, Texas, but I wanted to make sure that I got this podcast episode out as promised. Houston is the place of my birth and my parents still live here, so I’m down in Houston visiting my parents. They’re taking care of some business and I wanted to be down here to help them with that, so here I am.
I hope you have had a fantastic week. I certainly have. It’s been a very busy week. I continue to be very busy at my day job, but I am prioritizing this podcast up high enough in my life so that I can make sure to get that handled. So I’m in a hotel room here in Houston recording the podcast on mobile gear. So if you hear some popping, or you hear some elevator noises, or traffic sounds from the street, just ignore that because I am in a hotel room here.
Great week this week from a business standpoint. I’ve been really cranking it up a notch here at Late Night Internet Marketing. As I mentioned, a lot of that energy is going into the podcast. I have some nice guests lined up for you in the coming days and weeks, and we’re going to have lots to talk about.
One of the things that we’re going to talk about, as mentioned in the intro, is my plans for the Niche Site Duel. We’ll talk about that, but first I wanted to spend a little bit of time talking about some listener feedback on the iTunes side of the house.
